Fundraising4Schools presents an exciting new fundraiser that’s lots of fun and encouraging for kids.

How the Fundraiser Works

The fundraiser is completely FREE and everything is ready for you to start, with little effort to run.

Simply contact The Super Challenge by email and they will send you a website access code. Send out their Letter to Parents to collect funds. Then give parents the access code so students may start their maths challenge.

Each household that joins the fundraiser receives 12 months full membership to The Super Challenge website. The website is designed to build confidence in mathematics for all primary school students. This includes over 260 games, worksheets and teacher references from the Australian Mathematics Curriculum.

Students are challenged to show the mathematics skills they have learnt in class. It’s lots of fun and designed for students to gain confidence.

Once students have completed their challenge, they are awarded the “Certificate of Congratulations”. Downloadable from The Super Challenge website.

After the challenge, each household continues to receive 12 months full access to the website so students may continue playing the games improving their maths skills.

The Maths Challenge!

All students love a challenge, especially if it’s achievable.

Each grade level has an easier set and a more difficult set of games, suiting all levels of ability. Only a small number of games must be completed for the challenge. This makes it achievable for all students.

Students may complete the challenge at home or at school. If students are completing the challenge at home, there are worksheets for teachers to give as homework. Teachers may then follow students progression through the challenge.

Aligned with the Australian Mathematics Curriculum.

All 260 games are based on the concepts outlined in the Australian Mathematics Curriculum. Great for parents, as references from the curriculum are given with each game.

Once students have completed their challenge, they are presented with a “Certificate of Congratulations”. The certificate may be downloaded by parents from The Super Challenge website. This is a great reward especially for struggling students.

Easy to Run

Fundraising usually takes a good effort with lots of organising. That’s one major advantage with this one. It takes very little effort or time to set up, then students may complete the fundraiser from home.

To start fundraising, all you need to do is send out the letter to parents. You can download the letter template from the website and adjust it to suit your school. Then after collecting funds, give parents the website access code so students may begin their maths challenge.

Website is Completely Safe

Once logged in to the website students are fully safe from popups or advertising. There are no links to other sites, no information sharing and no advertising at all. So, the site is completely safe.

12 months access to The Super Challenge website

Each household that joins, receives 12 months full access to The Super Challenge website. This includes all games, worksheets and teacher references for all levels of primary school. So, after the fundraiser, students may keep playing games and continue learning mathematics.

The Super Challenge website shows parents specifically what their child needs to learn. The references from the Australian Mathematics Curriculum are given with each game. This helps parents recognise areas where their child may need to focus on.

Plus, there are fun challenging games for parents to play. The “Majors” games help parents have a better understanding of the maths their child is learning. Great for parents who want to get involved with tutoring or homework.

It’s Lots of Fun!

All games are fun to play, so students will enjoy the maths challenge. Each game uses stories and situations suited to each age level. The games are also full of praise for achievement, building their maths confidence and keeping them engaged.

Running the Fundraiser

Students participate from home, so running the event is easy. Everything you need for your fundraising event is done for you. Simply send out the letter to parents to collect funds. In the letter, most schools ask $10 for each household to join the fundraiser. Only one membership is needed per household. Once you have collected funds, parents are given the website access code for their child to begin their mathematics challenge. It’s that easy!

Ways to Promote the Fundraiser

LETTER TO PARENTS

The Letter to Parents is already prepared for you and is available on The Super Challenge website. It’s in a word doc so it may be edited to suit your school. All you need to do is fill in areas such as your school’s name and the amount you wish to ask parents for the fundraising event.

THE SCHOOL NEWSLETTER

The school newsletter is a great way to build excitement for the challenge. During the fundraiser, you may give extra clues for the more difficult games. Or a puzzle from one of the parent games to fill in! You may also list a countdown of days remaining until the challenge is finished.

POST IT ON SOCIAL MEDIA

The school website or social media site is another great way to announce the fundraiser. You may put a link to the free games on the website for parents or students to play before they join the fundraiser. Plus, you may include a countdown of days remaining until the challenge is finished.

RAISE FUNDS LOCALLY

Students may fundraise in the local area, or parents may fundraise at work, as there is a maths challenge for adults on the website. The “Majors” games have a range of difficulty levels and are just as much fun to play. The website also has a letter template to help raise funds in the local community.

Fundraise in the Community

The maths challenge isn’t only for students and parents, anyone may participate to help your school raise funds. The set of “Majors” games will challenge all adults. They have a range of difficulty levels to suit all ages, so work colleagues, club or local community members may join in the challenge. There is also a letter template on the website for schools to fundraise in the local community.
